NEED HELP ON MAGE !!!!
I just made a mage who is HM lvl 2 i need help! I have question
on how to set up skills what skills do i need ? i have a skill planer but i dont help me much because i have alot of skills and not enough of points

I played a mage through NM (int build).
Honestly go for the wind based spells (this includes lightning/type spells as well)
And maybe some of the Earth ones.
While the fire spells are good and do pretty good damage (especially Hellfire at the later levels), the cast time is pretty slow and you won't find yourself using them much even though Fire is strong against Wind based enemies.
So I guess just get the instant cast/faster cast speed wind/lightning spells, then decide whether you want to have Fire or Earth.
As far as the other skills go, since you're HM try to get a nice dagger. You'll be able to cast 10 spells in the amount of time it takes to cast 8 spells with a staff equipped. So you might want to invest on the dagger upgrade skill.
Get the potential skills of course, and the support buffs. You don't really need the one that raises attack for your party members, but it is a useful little buff for fighters/defenders/rangers in your party

Hahaha the subject title is because of all the presidential election commercials. Yes I do aggree with Izzy and also have found the earth spell of Earhquake and Earth Spikes to be the strongest most useful more than the fire. The fire spell that makes the ring around you "fire bush" i believe is the best at low lvl and useful throughout your growth and hellfire later is very good. Meteor is good but not nearly as good as the earth ones mentioned, and the wind ones are especially the best in the dungeons. I know the rule is that the elements work against each other better for certain combos but truthfully in the dungeon earth spikes and wind are the best killers of anything and meteor best for the golem. Lots of the other mage spells are just a waste of your points. Sonic, Wind (anything ie storm gale whatever ), Lightening, magic missel, eartquake, earth spikes, fire bush, hellfire, flite, are all great.

Depends what pvp area you're going for V.S.
Triggs just throwing this out there but I never did use Fire Bush/Curtain since it draws aggro to yourself which if you're not a "tank" type of mage and you're just plain old squishy, it isn't a good idea to get. However if lapised correctly or just built the right way these skills can come in handy
I will have to agree with you on the fact that earth spells will be a lot more useful to you than the fire spells, especially considering hat earth spells tend to stop opponents it their tracks as they are making their way to you.
If you're going to pvp then definitely get the support spell.
Get Roots.
Get Gale/Storm whatever is called.
Sonic Pole.
Body Protector.
Anything else will be totally at your discretion those are just the spells I would recommend if you were going to pvp.

Correction to what Izzy said, the Mage party buff does in fact increase the damage spells do by a slight amount. Similar to linking assault lapis to a staff it can boost the overall damage.
I am another one who advise every wind spell you can get your hands on.....end of story....point closed....thats all you need to know in regards to wind magic.
Earth magic is good especial the Roots family, and Earth Spikes. I never really lvl the Mountain Drive all the way up tho and earthquakes useless once you have Spikes.
Fire is more of personal preference. I highly encourage Hellfire.
Also don't forget HM mages get a set of Hm spells around mid 30s. These a very strong single target spells that come one for each element(except Water T_T).
